Ah! What a lovely sleep I had last night. You know those days when you wake up feeling like a daisy? That’s me – as fresh as ….!

Ken went off early to do his farm patrol – checking of the cattle and feeding the bulls. After breakfast Ken took me across to Kris’ for our Craft Group meeting. It was so nice to see all the ladies again, as I have not been able to attend Craft’ for simply ages. The river in flood being the cause of that.

After dropping me off at Kris’ and Allan’s Ken went into Wauchope to pick up another ton of fertiliser and the seed. After Craft I went back with Phyll’ to her place, and Ken picked me from there. Ken and I were able to cross the river at Andy and Virginia’s to day, which was such a blessing.

In many ways the river has taught me to appreciate the little things and the now in life. Like the blessing of being able to just hop in your car and go to wherever you want to. I no longer have that. You never realise what you have until you no longer have it, is that not so? Often it is those little things that turn out to be really the big things! I wonder how many things I take for granted now, that may not always be so. May I always be grateful and appreciate what I have, and not walk past the wonders that lie before me in each and every day. I want to enjoy every corner of my life! Hopefully I will do so.

In the afternoon while Ken was still busy slashing the paddocks, I painted the lettering for the hymn board in our church. I did the lettering in gold, and with much tongue wagging and getting more paint on me than on the board, I accomplished the task. You can even read the lettering!

After that, I did the ever growing, never halting pile or ironing. How can just two people generate so many things that need ironing huh? Yeah! Yeah! I know. It is me. I have a thing about our clothes being ironed and not folded. So yes! The blame is mine. It lies at my feet glaring up at me! From now on I shall not murmur about ironing – ever. Well, maybe on the odd occasion?

My saying for to day is ….

We are all time travellers moving at the speed of exactly sixty minutes per hour.
